Rage Actions
Any time you perform an action that involves an Attribute Roll, you may choose to do so while in a rage. While you rage action treat all sevens (7s) as if they were eights (8s) and treat all sixes (6s) as if they were ones (1s).
Fueled By Emotion
As a barbarian you have access to a third resource pool know as your Enraged
pool.
While performing a Rage Action, if you are required to roll either your Endurance or Morale dice pools, you may choose to roll your Enraged pool instead. Any Pressure Dice gained through the diminishing of your Enraged pool apply to all attribute rolls, even when not raging, just as your Endurance and Morale pools would.
At the start of a scene, you may recover one Enraged dice. If there has been a significant amount of time between scenes (for example days or weeks) then recover all your Enraged dice.
Character Retirement
Your Enraged Pool is also affected when you choose to "Exit The Scene". When this happens, you permanently lose one of your Enraged dice, along with the Endurance and Morale die. On your character's return, fully replenish your Enraged pool.
Going Berserk
Unlike the Endurance and Morale pools, instead of being downed when the pool runs out, you instead are overwhelmed by your emotions and go into a Berserk rage. While in this state, you can only perform Rage Actions and everything (and everyone) is a threat to you.
Your Berserk rage ends when you recover at least one Enraged dice. This could happen by transitioning to a new scene, or the party must find a way to try and calm you down.
It doesn't have to be physical
Barbarians don't have to always be about aggression or dominance. Instead, it is possible to create an Intellect based Barbarian, which may be flavoured as an Investigator with an eye for details. Once your Enraged pool is depleted your Berserk may come across as a dangerous hyper-fixation.
Barbarian Talents
Actions Not Words
If you are the first character to act in an altercation and choose to make a Rage Action, you may double the number of attribute dice for your roll. This can only be applied once per scene.
Fearless Inspiration
When you drop a die from your Endurance or Morale pools, while performing a Rage Action, any Ally (excluding yourself) that can see you may clear one Mark, for each die that gets dropped, from an Attribute of their choice.
Marked For Death
When an Ally you see gets Downed, you feel an inner rage build up. On your next action in the altercation, if you are performing a Rage Action, then a die result of 2 through 5 becomes a mixed success for that one action.
