Primary Attributes


Early Playtest

Your character has six core attributes, each representing different ways of approaching a situation.

Character Creation

When creating your character you'll assign each of the following numerical values to the six attributes: 3, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1. One of the attributes should be assigned the number three (3), this will be considered your most prominent attribute. Two of the attributes should be assigned the number two (2). Three of the attributes should be assigned the number one (1).

Dominion (DOM)

Dominion is a representation of brute force, aggression and being a dominating force.

As An Example...

Ferne, currently in a heated argument with a rival party, is starting to feel rage build up inside as the rival party sling insults back and forth. Feeling that if this continues, it might break out into a brawl and innocent people may get hurt.

By rolling with Dominion, Ferne is able to harness her built-up emotions to put on a fearful display of intimidation.

Grace (GRA)

Grace is a representation of elegance and agility, be that through the movement of your body or the play on the words you speak.

As An Example...

Alex, having made their way onto the pirate ship's deck, is in the process of fending off the drunken sailors with their rapier. Additionally, Alex has to tend with the swaying of the ship, one misstep and they may head overboard.

By rolling with Grace, Alex is able to perform some fancy footwork to dodge and weave around the sailors.

Persistence (PER)

Persistence is a representation of your ability to upkeep a sustained effort, not just in a physical sense, but for anything that happens over a period of time.

As An Example...

Bertran, having slipped and toppled over the edge of a bridge, has been lucky enough to grab onto a dangling rope and stop himself from falling. However, he doesn't have the strength to pull himself back up and must wait for the party to come by and rescue him.

By rolling with Persistence, Bertran is able to hold on and bide his time.

Revelation (REV)

Revelation is a representation of your curiosity and inquisitive nature for revealing information or insights.

As An Example...

Tiao, currently locked inside the Pharaoh's tomb, has triggered a pressure plate which starts to fill the room with sand. If they don't figure out how to deactivate the trap, they will be buried alive. Tiao finds a mechanism on a nearby wall and thinks it might be the key.

By rolling with Revelation, Tiao can learn the inner workings of this mechanism and be able to disarm the trap.

Conviction (CON)

Conviction is a representation of being able to persevere through adversity in service of faith or an objective truth, as well as to convince others of your beliefs (be that of faith or facts).

As An Example...

Mary has just been pulled aside by the Town Guard, in an unfortunate scenario of being accused of theft. Being completely innocent, Mary attempt to convince the guards that she is not the person they are after.

By rolling with Conviction, Mary is standing her ground to ensure the truth prevails.

Harmony (HAR)

Harmony is a representation of your ability to maintain balance or composure.

As An Example...

Jeremy, who has found himself in the crowd of a masquerade ball, eventually works up the courage to ask the Lady Darrington for the next dance. She accepts his offer and the two make their way onto the dance floor. Although he is a little nervous, Jeremy wants to make a good impression.

By rolling with Harmony, Jeremy can flow with the music, becoming one with the Lady Darrington's movements as they float effortless around the hall.
